What is a Brazilian Wax?

The Brazilian wax is " the essential wax for our generation" Best described as an extreme bikini waxing treatment that removes hair from the entire pubic region - although sometimes -  people choose to leave a "landing strip" a small patch just above the vaginal are. We understand that this is a very intimate type of waxing and our experienced Therapists will make you feel relaxed and at ease. Whether you choose to trim, shave or wax your pubic hair is a personal preference, therefore you should do whatever makes you comfortable, be it a bare look or a more natural look. We will treat you with professionalism, discretion and care whether you're doing this for the first time or you are a seasoned brazilianer.

How long does the results last?

After your first waxing, the results can last 4 to 6 weeks depending on your hair re-growth rate and season. The hotter seasons tend to encourage faster re-growth rates compared to the colder seasons, therefore your hair grows quicker during summer. In most cases, you will see minimal hair re-growth during the first 3 weeks, with noticeable increases there onwards. Continued waxing encourages sparse hair re-growth. If you have it on a regular monthly basis you will benefit in 3 ways

  1. It will be easier and quicker each time
  2. It is much cheaper as it requires less time and less wax..
  3. Clients say it is easily tolerable.

What is involved in a brazilian?

Skindeep prides itself on only using  a premium azurlene disposable hot wax (not painful, cheap strip wax) Meaning, it is quite thinly applied to the hair to be removed, it then "shrink-wraps" around the hairs, and is pulled off after it dries. The wax is made for sensitive skin, so it's great for underarms, bikini & brazilian waxing. While waxing, it's best to wear the disposable g-string as this can be maneuvered to assist in pulling different areas of skin tauntly for comfort. You may also be asked to help stabilize an area with your hand, especially when towards the middle of the labia where there's no firm bone or muscle underneath. We will also ask you to pull your knee up towards your chest so we may remove the hairs underneath ( by doing it this way it pulls the skin tighter so there is less discomfort) . For the XXX Brazilian (If you also require your bottom area treated ) we may ask you to lie on one side, draped with the towel, and we'll wax in the gluteal crease- all smoothe from front to bottom. After the hairs are removed, and you are happy with the completed treatment we will apply some after wax soothing lotion to the area.

Does it hurt?

That would depend on 2 factors. a) strong hair and b) sensitive skin. In most cases, we'll do it so quickly you don't have the time to feel anything. Some women don't even know we've started. We find that most turn out pleasantly surprised that it is not a big deal after all. Our use of premium hot wax does help reduce the sensitivity on your skin. And as mentioned if done every month is very simple,painless and effective.

Does Skindeep do men's brazilian?

Unfortunately, we only have a few Therapists who can do this treatment and it will depend upon the day you wished to make your appointment if that Therapist is available.
